The original silent German expressionism masterpiece The "Cabinet of Dr. Caligari" was directed by Robert Wiene, released in 1920 and is often considered one of the greatest horror movies ever made. The costumes, sets, lighting, and makeup were all created by expressionists giving the film a dramatic dark, dreamlike quality that is unforgettable. The story of a mad doctor and his mysterious sleepwalker that he keeps in a box only letting him out to commit heinous crimes. This disk has a completely original soundtrack by HobGoblin, dialog and sound effects have been added to enjoy "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari" like never before! Also on the DVD is a very rare German 16mm print of the film with just the new musical score.
