While returning from a visit to a remote cemetery, a group of young friends get lost and look for help at a creepy old house. They find it abanboned, or so it seems, and as they figure out what to do and explore the grounds, sorting out some personal issues... they soon discover that someone from the woods is hunting them. A deformed killer named "CALEB" hacks, slices, and chops his way through the group as they try to escape... heading further into the BACKWOODS. As they struggle to survive... theier only hope comes in the form of the town sheriff aka town drunk., who has his own secrets about the killer, the murders, and the BACKWOODS.
