College instructor Dr. Ernst Prell is fascinated by the Yeti - that legendary half-man, half-best creature that is purported to roam the forests of the North. He invites four of his students on a field trip to a secluded island where the beast has reportedly been seen. But first they attend a happenin' party, complete with groovy music and outta-sight fashions. There they meet a drunk and distraught man, who tells a chilling story of horror which occurred seven years ago, during Dr. Prell's previous field trip to that very same island! But the crazy kids don't listen, and all too soon they find themselves isolated and in mortal danger. As the youngsters fall victim to the beast one-by-one, those who survive begin to wonder: is it really the Yeti which threatens them, or something even more horrifying?
