The brilliant Dr. Abel has created a serum which will revolutionize medicine: with it, he has succeeded in keeping the decapitated head of a dog alive for an extended time. Joined by a pair of colleagues, including the very strange Dr. Ood, Abel plans a transplant operation to replace his failing heart. When the procedure goes horribly wrong, Dr. Ood severs Abel's head and keeps it alive with the new serum. With no one to stop him, he pursues his greatest achievement, the object of which is Dr. Abel's beautiful but crippled nurse. All he needs is the right body...
