Pan is the Greek god of shepherds and flocks, of mountain wilds, hunting and rustic music. He has the hindquarters, legs, and horns of a goat. He is recognized as the god of fields, groves, and wooded glens and is often depicted enchanting maidens and shepherds. Pan is connected to fertility and season of spring.
