In 1987 Al Lewis opened an Italian restaurant called Grampa's Bella Gente at 252 Bleecker Street in Greenwich Village, New York City. Long time friend and fellow Munsters actor Fred Gwynne drew the caricature for the resturaunts logo. Grampa's Bella Gente was one of many of Al's ingenious uses for his Grandpa Munster persona.
