The Golem is a 1920 silent horror film directed by Carl Boese and Paul Wegener. Set in 16th-century Prague, a Jewish rabbi creates a giant Golem from clay to protect his people from persecution. The creature, born from black magic, turns on his master with disastrous results. Architect Hans Poelzig designed the sets, making this film one of the most outstanding examples of German Expressionism. This DVD has a completely original soundtrack by HobGoblin.
